Apostle Barbara Patterson
Apostle Barbara Patterson is the visionary leader and apostolic voice of Radical One Ministry in Jacksonville, Florida. Her story is one of faith, rebuilding, and purpose driven leadership rooted in the belief that God can bring life back to what feels dried up and forgotten.
She leads a ministry shaped by a long legacy and a steady progression of spiritual growth. The church history traces back to 1909, originally organized as New Saint James Baptist Church, later rebuilt in 1965, and guided through several prayerful transitions in name and focus over the years. Those transitions eventually led to the current identity, Radical One Ministry. The name itself reflects a heart to connect with the next generation, and it was inspired by her daughter as a fresh name for a younger crowd.
At Radical One, Apostle Patterson describes the church as Spirit filled, passionate, and grounded in real fellowship. The ministry embraces deliverance, love among leaders and members, and “many voices” serving together in unity. Under her leadership, the church continues to build strong teams, raise leaders, and strengthen the people of God for impact beyond the four walls.
Apostle Patterson also carries a specific burden for leaders. She speaks openly about being called to reach pastors who have lost hope, leaders who are tired, wounded, and quietly shutting down inside. Her heart is to do what she describes through the picture in Ezekiel, speaking life back into those who still have purpose but need someone to call it out of them again.
One of the strongest parts of her testimony is how God shaped her through grief and private pain. Her message and platform, If Walls Could Talk, was birthed from what she endured behind the scenes. She shares that her former husband suffered a massive heart attack during one of her conferences, and in the aftermath she tried to stay strong for everybody else while still carrying deep grief inside. That experience became fuel for a ministry assignment that tells the truth, without shame, and brings hope through transparency.
Today, Apostle Barbara Patterson remains focused on building a ministry that restores the overlooked, strengthens leaders, and equips believers to live boldly.
